Old Nurses, Giant Birds, and Volkswagon’s…

I just got back here a little bit ago. Becky just left. Now it’s just Krissy and I and the new nurse, Leslie….a real petite older woman, probably in her mid 60’s…though I’m not very good at guessing these things. In fact, I probably under shot, just per chance she were to read this. So far I’ve managed to become friends with about every one of her nurses, but Leslie has already proven to be a challenge. I’ll keep you updated as the day progresses.

Krissy is doing well, she just at some of my yogurt parfait…which as you know if you’ve been following things, are absolutely delicious. This is her first real food aside from crackers and jello. She might try some eggs later, assuming the nausea stays away. They’re cutting down her pain meds today, which I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing yet, at least for her comfort, etc. Lately though she hasn’t complained of her pain being more than a “2″ on a scale up to 10. So we’re doing alright. (though she did just give Krissy a bunch of pills, for her heart and pain, etc. One was about the size of a volkswagon….holy crap that thing was huge. Seriously, I’ve never seen a pill like that. I would of have taken one look at that thing….not a chance.)

I think one of my aunt’s are due in today, as well as possible a college friend. I’m feeling a lot better today. Last night was the most sleep I’ve gotten in a few days, probably 7 hours. I fell asleep watching a show on the History Channel about giant bird sightings, like the avian equivalent of Bigfoot or something. Side note, Nurse Leslie and I…it just isn’t working, one of us might not make it out of here alive. If for some reason this is my last post…you’ll know who won. Back to the birds…it was about all of these people all over the world that had seen these giant birds of prey…like 8 foot tall with a 20 foot wingspan….yeah, really big. This one guy supposedly had gotten picked up by one when he was a kid. They had all of the experts; you know like on those UFO shows, and some thought they were real and others didn’t, but they sort of concluded that it was highly unlikely, you would think a giant bird the size of a small aircraft would be hard to miss, especially in the midwest. The conclusion was that it was probably a large bird of prey, like an eagle or something and that people can’t just size with out an object to compare it to, so a bird in the air, looks the same size as an airplane until there are trees in the background or something….at any rate, I eventually fell asleep. Look out for the birds!
