Well, we made it. John and I have been in Nairobi now for about 2 hours. The flights went very well and we made some new friends, Amy and Soccer Steve, both of which will be in Nairobi for several months plus. I did lose one of my bags, but its supposed to arrive tomorrow night. Pastor George, his wife Mary, and several others met us at the airport and greeted us with a very warm welcome before dropping us off at our hotel. We are staying at a missionary guest house which is quite nice and comfortable. Right now I’m posting this from my phone, so I can’t upload our photos yet, but we saw from the airplane both the sahara desert and the nile river….really cool, or “safi”, which means “cool” in swahli. More to come later. Off to bed…..
